March 2018 - visit to Winnipeg

Vincent and I flew to Winnipeg to spend some time with the Cavers.  It was a beautiful week with plenty of sunshine - and at the end a dump of snow.  We weren't sure we'd be able to leave but they are also good and removing snow :)

Christmas 2017

We had a house full for Christmas dinner but forgot to take photos.  One evening we did a gift exchange over FaceTime - Victor joined us as well.

Selena turns 1

This little girl is very careful and quiet.  It was fun to see what she'd do with her birthday cake!  Such a sweet little girl - can't believe how fast she's grown.

Lorelle's surprise visit

Lorelle made a surprise visit at Thanksgiving.  It was so fun for the grandkids to interact together & it was fun having everyone home for Thanksgiving - it's been a while!

First time on the slopes!

This school year we are hosting a chinese student who attends Lynden Christian.  His American name is Nathan.  It's been a great experience so far learning about his culture and sharing ours.  We took him up Baker to ski - it was also Vincent's first time.   It was a beautiful day - so good to be back on the slopes.

Opa's Birthday - trip to Ontario

My dad's birthday was Nov. 5 and we were able to fly to Ontario with Vincent & Alec to help celebrate.  My sister was there with a few of her kids (from Indonesia) so we managed to get away for a dinner with just the sisters & mom.

Back to School / Smithers Trip

Before it's an entire year gone by without a blog post I will sneak a few in.  This one is from last September - Vincent was entering first grade.  Shortly after school started we managed to get away to visit Matt & Fio in Smithers.  It was  beautiful drive - both of us had never been before.  We spent a lot of time at the Dykstra's cabin on the lake.  Fio's mom was visiting as well so we got to spend time with her.
