My last day...

Here's a few photos of my last day. We joined a few family members at a cabin in the woods for a "brunch" and a fire. The weather was gorgeous - cool & very sunny. A nice way to end my stay - then later off to the airport to return home.

Here's just a few photos of some of my favorite little people (well, maybe Kurtis isn't so little anymore...). I've got so many photos of them as I helped them feed their animals - there are more animals in their barn than would fit on my blog so I had to choose a few. What fun!!! We even took home some silkie eggs which Alec hopes to hatch & have a flock of his own. We'll keep you updated.

In memory of Elijah Dethan

This past week has been a difficult one with the news that my sister's little 10 1/2 month son Elijah passed away after having surgery for intestinal problems. I flew to Ontario to be with family. We were comforted by the words of Psalm 139 with a small memorial service led by Rev. Bouwman. It was actually larger that first anticipated with a lot of cousins and a few close friends. It was so good to be among fellow believers and feel the communion of saints also in this way. We continue to keep ML & Yonson in our prayers & keep in regular contact as they feel the distance at this time.

Winter Snow Storm 2012

January brought a decent size snow storm - enough snow to make a bit of a mess on our roads and close school for an entire week. It was LOTS of fun for the kids...
